A few "before & after" pictures:

As you can see from the above two pictures, the left hand side of the house (viewed from the front) is in exactly the same position as the old ruin. The two storey part of the house is almost the same size as the old ruin, but notice how much lomger the single storey part of the ruin is compared to the new house. This is what gives us the extra land at the front of the house (where we´ve built the boundary wall/garage floor).

Views from the front of the house. The ruin is much wider in comparison to the new house, which is why the picture had to be taken from further away. Notice also that there is no track running up the side of the ruin, and that it is likely that the current track has been built through what would´ve been the right hand side of the ruin.

Views from the corner. Again this shows how much longer the ruin was down the left hand side and along the front (not all of the front elevation is clearly visible here due to the undergrowth and the angle at which the picture was taken.

This is the footpath which leads around the back of our property. Notice there is no sign of a track leading up the other side of the ruin.

This is part of the rear of the ruin. The two storey wall is wider here than on the new house - the difference, plus the other lower part of the ruin is now where our patio is.
